Expertise / Shopify & ecommerce

Moving to Shopify,
without losing trade.

Replatforming is rarely about the storefront. It’s the redirects, the integrations, the customer accounts and the ERP that decide whether launch day is quiet.

Who this is for

Established retailers on a platform that has become expensive to run, hard to change or risky to keep. Usually there are several brands, a trade or B2B channel, an ERP and a warehouse involved. Usually it has been put off for a while.

What we move

  • Catalogue. Products, variants, options, metafields, media, collections and the rules behind them.
  • Customers. Accounts, addresses, tags, consent and B2B companies, with a plan for passwords that doesn’t annoy anyone.
  • Orders. History customers can see and service teams can search.
  • URLs and SEO. Every old URL mapped to a new one, tested before launch and monitored after.
  • Integrations. ERP, warehouse, marketing, customer service, payments, reviews, feeds. Rebuilt or reconnected, not forgotten.
  • Everything else. Gift cards, discounts, subscriptions, store credit, content and the edge cases nobody wrote down.

How we run it

  1. Audit. What the current platform actually does, including the things it does by accident that the business now relies on.
  2. Plan. A migration map for data, URLs and integrations, a cutover plan, and a clear list of what changes for each team.
  3. Build. Theme, apps and integrations built against real data, shown early and often.
  4. Rehearse. Full trial migrations until the numbers reconcile. Orders, stock and customers checked against the source.
  5. Cut over. Timed around your trading calendar, with a rollback plan we don’t expect to use.
  6. Support. We stay close after launch, watching orders, integrations, errors and search traffic.

What usually goes wrong

Most failed migrations fail in the same places: redirects nobody tested, an ERP integration that only worked because of a quirk in the old platform, B2B pricing that didn’t survive the move, and a launch date set before anyone counted the integrations. We plan around those first.

Already on Shopify?

We also consolidate multiple Shopify stores, move to Shopify Plus, and untangle stores that have accumulated too many apps. Same approach, smaller blast radius.
